Brühwerk. Guten Morgen, Mumbai.
A clay-animated espresso machine arrives in Mumbai by container, takes a taxi past the Gateway of India and finds its shelf.
Brühwerk · India market entry film, sound on
A German espresso machine says Guten Morgen to Mumbai.
Brühwerk is a European coffee-machine brand we invented to show what entering India can look like when it is done with some charm. We made it in clay animation on purpose. Clay feels handmade and friendly, and it lets a foreign brand laugh at itself a little, which goes a long way in a new market.
The machine arrives by container, steps out at the port, rides a black-and-yellow taxi past the Gateway of India, sees its own billboard and finds its place on a shop shelf under a “New in India” sign. The signs around it are local on purpose: Horn OK Please, an Irani café, a vada pav counter.
- Cranes swing a Brühwerk container off a ship at Mumbai port.
- The doors open and a small espresso machine with big eyes steps out.
- It waves at a Welcome to Mumbai sign and hops into a kaali-peeli taxi.
- Past the Gateway of India, past a street of local shops.
- Its own billboard lights up: Guten Morgen, Mumbai!
- A shopkeeper stacks it on a New in India shelf. Enter Indian markets.
Sound. Dhol and an electronic pulse, with a port horn, a taxi horn and the hiss of a happy espresso machine.
- Market-entry launches for international brands coming to India, or Indian brands going abroad.
- Distributor and retail partner presentations, with the film opening the deck.
- A mascot that can carry the brand across languages on social.
- Trade show stands, where a friendly character stops people faster than a spec sheet.
