How we charge

A flat fee. Never a cut of your media.

Fixed project fees and fixed monthly fees, agreed before we start. No percentage of spend, no commission, no rebates and no invoices that surprise you.

An antique brass balance scale on a travertine plinth, perfectly balanced, a still life about fair fees. Sample image created by Quiamo, a brand, marketing and media agency from India.
The usual model

Percentage of media

  • Fee grows when you spend more, whether it works or not
  • Hourly billing that rewards slow work
  • Ad accounts sometimes held by the agency
  • Rebates and mark-ups not always disclosed
  • Scope creep discovered on the invoice
The Quiamo model

A flat fee, agreed up front

  • A fixed fee for a project, or a fixed monthly fee for ongoing work
  • No percentage of media, no commission, no rebates
  • Ad accounts, files and data always in your name
  • Scope written on one page before we start
  • Changes quoted before they happen, never after

We charge for thinking and making, not for spending. Every engagement is priced as a flat fee. For a defined project (a brand strategy, an identity, a website) that is one fixed price for the agreed scope. For ongoing work (search, media, content, communications) it is one fixed monthly fee. The number does not move because your media budget does.

Why agencies take a percentage of ad spend, and why we do not

Many media and marketing agencies charge a management fee of a set percentage of what you spend on advertising. It is simple, and it grows automatically. It also creates a quiet conflict of interest: the agency earns more when you spend more, and less when it tells you to cut waste. We think advice should be free of that pull. With a flat fee, the only way we grow with you is by being worth keeping.

What an agency retainer covers here

A monthly fee covers an agreed scope, written on one page: which channels or workstreams, how much new work each month, what reporting you get and who is on the team. If you need more in a given month, we quote it before starting. If you need less for a while, we adjust the scope and the fee. No surprises in either direction.

How much does a branding agency cost?

It depends on the job, and anyone who quotes without asking questions is guessing. What drives the price is the number of audiences and markets, the number of products or brands involved, how many formats the work must cover and how quickly you need it. After a first call we send a fixed quote, usually within two working days. Small, focused projects are welcome, and a first piece of work is often the best way to see whether we are right for each other.

Payment terms

Projects are usually invoiced in stages: a portion at kick-off and the rest at agreed milestones. Monthly work is invoiced at the start of each month. We invoice in Indian rupees, US dollars, euros or pounds, whichever suits you. Media is always paid by you directly to the platforms.

Fee questions

Money, plainly.

Do you ever charge a percentage of media spend?

No. Never. Our fees are flat and agreed in advance. We take no commission, no rebates and no mark-up on media.

Is there a minimum contract?

Projects have no minimum beyond the project itself. Ongoing SEO has a three-month minimum because it takes that long to see meaningful results. Media and content can be monthly.

What if the scope changes?

We quote any change before we do it, and you approve it in writing. You will never discover extra work on an invoice.

Which currencies do you invoice in?

Indian rupees, US dollars, euros or British pounds.
