A waterproof promise, made out of paper.
Ready for the Wave is a film for a roll-top backpack we invented. The product claim is plain: it keeps your things dry. Instead of a lab test, we built a whole world out of layered paper, with a coral sun, cut-paper waves and paper fish, and dropped the bag into the sea.
It sinks, drifts through a teal underwater scene, gets swallowed by a wave, and pops out on the crest, dry. The paper style makes a technical claim feel warm and memorable, and it holds up on a phone screen, which is where most people will see it.
- A coral paper sun. The backpack drops into the sea.
- Under the surface: light shafts, kelp and paper fish.
- A huge cut-paper wave rises and swallows the bag.
- It bursts out on the crest, completely dry.
- Ready for the wave. Keep your essentials dry.
Sound. An upbeat, bouncy track with paper rustles, a deep underwater hum and a big splash on the reveal.
- Proving a product claim (waterproof, unbreakable, long-lasting) in a way people remember.
- Outdoor, travel, kids and school brands.
- Social-first launches that need vertical and horizontal versions from day one.
- Brand films where live action would be too expensive, too risky or too literal.

The vertical cut
Made for Reels, Shorts and Stories. We plan the vertical version alongside the horizontal one rather than cropping it afterwards, so the bag, the wave and the line all sit where a thumb will not cover them.
